Ever since I wrote the first All Crews I’ve never shied away from writing about trouble in clubs. For the latest updated edition I’ve brought Resident Advisor regular writer Anu Shukla on board to help me do that!
I gave Anu a shout after hearing her on an RA podcast episode about the post-covid spiking epidemic. Anu has stacks of experience writing about the conjunction at which politics and clubland overlap, as well as knowledge of the social challenges faced by diverse communities within the electronic music scene. An obvious addition to the All Crews writing crew!
Anu will also be helping me cover DJ Xilhu’s LGBTQ+ Junglist Sound System Queer Rave, and how they are re-wiring London’s queer clubbing landscape… It might just involve a custom-built battery-powered rig!
